Oluseun Abimbola SAN, FCArb is a Partner at Prime Solicitors, Ibadan, Nigeria. He is an experienced Advocate, Negotiator, Arbitrator, and Mediator, accredited by the Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution (CEDR), London, and heads his firm’s Dispute Resolution Practice Group. He sits as a member of the Panel of Neutrals of the Lagos and Oyo Multi Door Court Houses, in Nigeria. He has held various leadership positions at the Nigerian Bar Association at both Branch and National levels, as well as at the International Bar Association, where he served on various committees. He was the pioneer Chairman of the Law Firm Management Committee of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) in 2008, Chairman, NBA Ibadan Branch in 2012, Council member of the NBA Section on Legal Practice from 2008, and a past Chairman of the NBA Section on Legal Practice (SLP) from 2019 to 2021, among several other roles. He has served on the Council and Boards of regulatory bodies of the legal profession in Nigeria, including the Council of Legal Education, Legal Practitioners’ Disciplinary Committee, the Body of Benchers, and the Legal Aid Council of Nigeria. He is a three-time recipient of the NBA President’s award of excellence and merit for his service to the Bar. Mr. Abimbola served as Honourable Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice in Oyo state from 2016 to 2019, and was conferred with the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria in December 2020. He is a fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Chartered Arbitrators (NICARB) and sits on the Board of various companies and NGOs in Nigeria.
